I agree with using Strathmore paper, it's what I use every time (Except occasionally I use charcoal on smooth bristol)

Wow. I am so glad i clicked on your icon. I could really learn things from you. THis is absolutley AMAZING! I also especially marvel at the hair! That's the hardest part i think, and you did such a great job!! Extreamly realistic! I'm glad i joined the Pencil Club now! :D

This is just amazing work. The shading and the hair is just wonderfull. I often have great problems with getting hair look realistic, especially with light brown hair, we are not even going to talk about blond hair. But do you have any tips on how to make it look more sooft and realistic?
It would just be great if you had. :)

thanks a lot! i usually have problems with the hair too. i think this is one of my better hair examples. to tell the truth, im not really sure how i made the hair look realistic, it was just kind of trial and error or something. one thing i tried to do was make high lights in the hair, other wise i dont know how i did it. (=>

really nice drawing! i would advise you to use paper gvarro, it's the kind of paper i use for my drawings and it works fine for me. Many drawers use that kind of paper, the problem is that i don't know if it's named the same in english, at least it is here in spain :D hope i can help ya out
